Intro: My name is Sara and I am married to... (well for purposes other than security (unless you know him already) we will call him "D/H". We met in April of 2005 and got Married in June of 2006 when he was on his R&R from Iraq (HIS 2nd DEPLOYMENT)..... So this is my 1st Blog and I will try to keep this updated as much as possible. There's so much to say about the short time we have been here. We got here the end of October from Ft Carson, CO. D/H (Dear Husband for those who aren't familiar) was finally able to get away from 4th ID after being in the same unit for 6.5 years. We had transferred with the Division from Ft Hood, TX in June of 2009. We were in CO for 2 years, too long!!! I am not in any way shape or form an outdoorsy person and surely don't do the cold. I am originally from AZ. Raised btwn TX and AZ for most of my life so I consider both "HOME". After my brief experience with doing $1400.00 in damage to my Jeep Commander (just bumping into a curb, mind you) and sliding out into the middle of a 4 way Stop, I knew CO was not the place for me. We lived in a older Tri Level home with NO A/C..... seriously?? 90 Degrees in the Summertime and even hotter in my house is not okay with me (FORGIVE ME FOR COMPLAINING WHEN I KNOW PEOPLE IN 3RD WORLD COUNTRIES GO WITHOUT). I lived in a crappy neighborhood (by crappy I mean the next door neighbors to my left were raided by SWAT, the people directly across the street and the people diagonal from us both on separate occasions caused body damage to one of the vehicles we had and refused to take responsibility for it). I was over it from the second D/H and his buddy from Hood arrived a few days after me and could smell Marijuana from the front the house. I don't care what you do on your own time but do it YOUR house!!!!! I was blessed however with 3 amazing neighbors! Gayle and her S/O, Alex (non military), and Ray - the man next door who had two daughters, loved Elvis and was old enough to be my Father. ANYWAY BACK TO BEING AT BRAGG!!! So I've noticed that there is quite a different "BREED" of Army Wives around here... to say the least... they keep it interesting here. I've had a couple of run ins with a couple of "GIRLS" who seemed to still be stuck in High School. I don't do drama. 1st sign of it.. I'm GONE! But I have made a couple of good quality friends here so that makes me feel good. I can be a little hard to handle at 1st, but once you get to know me, it gets easier.. I PROMISE ;)
I will try to keep this up to date from here on out!
